Okay, well, not really. The 21-foot long model actually just fell apart in mid-air due to the stresses of liftoff. But still: wicked.
Doc sends over this VFX reel from the upcoming Red Baron flick, set to hit sometime in 2008. Lots of aerial splode potential, and dude taking down a dirigible with what looks to be a flare gun. Sold.

A bit of classic controlled splode here as STS-1 heads into space.
Well, no, that’s not accurate. You’d have to paint the outside of the balloon with a highly flammable rocket fuel like substance, as I understand it.
Doc sent this over. The scene and destruction are both incredibly impressive–it’s just a shame it came with a $45 million dollar-plus pricetag.

Bear in mind, there are no subtitles, but if you want to dub it yourself in English, then just repeat under your breath, “Holy shit, did you see that up in the sky?” over and over again. Because I’m fairly certain that’s the gist of it.
See what happens when bottles are considered “no deposit, no return”? Well, hell, you’ve got to use them for something, right?
There’s some boom that’s fun to watch but is still sobering. Here’s what happens to pressurized airplanes when you set off a few hundred grams of explosives off. Gah.
