I’ll be the first one to tell you that I’m not quite sure what’s happening here. However, from what I can tell, they needed to blow a hole in the bottom of a lake to meet the hole up with a tunnel that would lead to a hydro powerstation at the bottom of a mountain. Apparently the maelstrom that results is all the air in the tunnel escaping out into the lake.
Or something. More information at the YouTube video itself. All I know is that something went kablooey. That’s the extent of my knowledge of physics: kablooey.
