Okay, this is our 250th post. And I’m celebrating by putting the site on hiatus.
As much as I enjoy sharing shit blowing up and people getting kicked in the face, there’s a lot of things going on right now that prohibit me from doing this site as well as I would like. My goal was to launch a bunch of different sites over time and try to keep all the plates spinning. But as happens most times, you see your strategy isn’t quite working. So I’m shifting gears yet again. From time to time, since I still enjoy this stuff anyway, I’ll be posting Kicksplode Digests to Needcoffee. And I might do some Trashed Trailer Fridays over there. That part I’m not sure about yet.
And who knows…I might shift gears again at some point and decide that this site can sustain itself. Keep checking Needcoffee for further news.
But until then, I leave you with this. Thanks for playing.

Vic Reeves is a genius. And having a blast–literally. As the current host of Brainiac Science Abuse, he gets to blow shit up all the time in the name of Science! with a frat boy fun mentality. It’s irresistible.
Here’s a bit from the show: Barry. Who loves gas.

I know this is setting myself up for heartbreak, but I have relatively high hopes for the Get Smart big screen version with Steve Carell. I mean, any film where Alan Arkin gets to punch some guy in the face gets points out of the starting gate.

Yeah. This is worse.
This is what happens when you accidentally depress the Anti-Splode Button. Make note.

When is a roof about as effective as covering your building in Jell-O? Answer…

Some of the moves in here are pretty crazy. And will look amazing when the mecha have reached several stories tall.
I also love their reactions when they lose.

Apparently back in November an F-15…well, fell apart during flight. This is an animated reconstruction of what happened, created as part of the investigation. I’m sure the pilot needed a new flightsuit once he got out–and he did get out intact, apparently.
I also appreciate this astute analysis from one YouTube commenter, who’s obviously an aerospace structural engineer:
that would never happen…. well it could but not just simply brake up cuz its imposible that u fly normaly very calm and on that moment u start braking omg that wud be like wtf
And when his mom gets home she’s going to be pissed that he was on her computer again.

From last month in Birmingham, Alabama. I love the guy who yells “Redo!” This isn’t TiVo, dude. This is real life.
